These are simple and straightforward.The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is the sense that the Bodum pricing is a bit inflated. Just purchased a 12-oz press to keep at the office, bringing my total to 3.
I just got this press and made some coffee. Pair this with some French Market Coffee & Chicory, 16-Ounce Tins (Pack of 3) and some whole milk and sugar - you are knocking on the doors of the heaven itself. Update on May 12th : Just the fifth day of use and despite taking all precautions, the glass broke. This little uncomplicated gadget makes the best coffee I have ever tasted and by Jove , is it some strong Java that it makes. My espresso machine is now a part of history. There goes my quintessential coffee. I guess many reviews were right.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I used to use drip coffee maker and then I started using stove top espresso makers and then bought an espresso machine before buying this.
This product is made out of glass and is a GREAT PRODUCT for making coffee.
It will just be very small. Eh. and that's exactly what you'll get.
It fits into a small corner, and makes only as much coffee as I can take away with me, leaving very little mess behind. It's still a lovely cup that comes out well enough that I don't need to put cream into it. It comes with its own scoop, which is convenient, though I like rather a bit more grounds than they suggest.
. We debated sending it back, and finally decided against it.So I brought it to work, and it's perfect there. And yes, it does make a fine cup of tea as well.
A French press is arguably the best cup of coffee around, and that's what you'll get. I bought it after not looking closely enough at the description -- I wanted a 12 CUP press, so this just wasn't the one to replace the drip coffee maker we use every morning here.
